About the Artist

Melanie has been involved in art since childhood- focusing on pen and pencil illustration, oil pastels and photography. Working with henna was a natural progression of her line work and enjoyment of working with people.

Travels through India, Morrocco and Turkey had their influence on her perspective and from there her personal style has taken on its own direction, mixing in art nouveau and Chinese motifs along the way. These outside influences make Melanie's henna artistry unusually refined and extremely distinctive.

Apart from enjoying her own style she is also open to challenges, welcoming her clients ideas and any images they bring to her to copy or work from as a base concept.
