Belly Casting and Decorating

Melanie offers a unique casting service: She will cast your belly, reinforce and finish the cast with joint compound and fine sanding, then decorate it with an original henna design that is sealed onto the cast for longevity. There is no better way to immortalize the amazing shape and proportion of your pregnant belly!

Casting takes approximately one hour in the artists studio. Finishing and decorating is completed within 2 weeks.

You can also bring an already finished cast to the artist for decorating . Either way, this makes a wonderful gift to yourself or a friend.

The Baby Shower Deluxe Package

This is Melanie's most popular offering. The package includes: Belly Henna for the mother; a luxurious foot soak in locally made Jellybath product; henna tattoos for all the guests! The package is a great addition to any baby shower or blessingway (the entire process takes 2-3 hours depending on the design and how many guests).

It is also possible to have Melanie henna the mothers belly only.

Bridal

bride's henna $80 per hour, $60 per hour for the wedding party (bridesmaids, mother of the bride, other guests etc).

The time required for bridal henna will depend on the detail and size of the design. Bridal henna can range from simple, tasteful touches to complement any look, to elaborate traditional designs covering up to the wrist or all the way to the elbow.

Bridal consultation is free.

Parties & Events

Parties- $60 per hour with a two hour minimum (small, private parties of 10-15 guests)
Events- $85 per hour with a two hour minimum (this is for larger events with many customers receiving smaller designs)

Individual Designs

Individual henna designs start from $5 for the smallest (designs that are approx 1 inch in diameter), and go up to around $100 for large back pieces etc. Once designs start getting very large, we often price them by the hour ($60 per hour).
